How to Secure Facebook Account

 This article guide set your privacy and security settings and secure your Facebook account. Some time back, a Facebook account was irrelevant to hackers. There was no reason to hack anyone's account since there was no reason for hacking account in the first place. Just follow these guidelines you can protect you Facebook account from malicious hackers.

1. Opt for Two Way Verification

This security feature act as a second layer of protection against hackers attempting to sign in to your account. When you enable two factor authentication Facebook will automatically send a six digit code to a device for your choice. Users attempting to login to the account must enter the correct code sent to the recognized device to gain access. This feature easy to enable: Go in to your security settings use Two Factor Authentication Checkmark and save changes. 

2. Set Up Login Alerts

The next security setting you should enable is login alerts. As its name suggests, any time user attempt to login into your Facebook Account, you will receive a notification to a pre selected device. Once you get into your security settings, scroll down to "Where you are logged in" and click "End Activity " for any device or use regularly.

3. Protect Your Passwords

Use a Strong Password. You can use a random string of numbers and letters. Avoid saving passwords on public devices. Always logout on other devices. You have to ensure that you have logged out and that neither your number nor email address is displayed in the authentication tabs. 

4. Monitor Which Apps You've Permission To

Several third party apps or websites that allow for  Facebook integration. You may not realize it , but these external platforms pose an even higher risk than Facebook itself. Often these apps and websites  do not have the security measures in place to protect against hacks. To disable these apps Go into your Settings then select "Apps". Remove the third party site that appears suspicious.
