iOS vs Android Key Difference
Android and iOS are the mobile operating systems. Both are based on UNIX or UNIX-like operating systems using a graphical user interface and easily manipulated through touch and gestures. iOS was first released in US market in 2007. Whereas Android is an open source operating systems like Linux developed by Google  in 2005. iOS run on Apple devices and Android run on any devices.

 What is Android ?

Android is a mobile operating system that is developed by Google and is based on the Linux. It is designed for touch screen mobile devices such as smart phones, Tablet, TVS, cars and wearable devices. It written in C(Core), C++ and Java.

What is iOS ?

The iOS is the operating system created by Apple Inc. for mobile devices. iOS is written in C, C++, Objective -C and Swift. The iOS is used in many of the mobile devices for Apple such as iPhone, iPod, iPad etc. Apple iOS introduces attractive features like cut, copy and paste etc.

Difference between Android and iOS

  • iOS is a closed system whereas Android is more open. Android users can customize their phone easily.
  • The Android applications are obtained from Google Play while iOS applications are available in the Apple Store.
  • The running speed of iOS devices remains consistent with time. In contrast to this, the performance of Android devices may decline over time.
  • There are different voice assistants for iOS and Android namely Siri and Google Assistant. Google assistant is  much more powerful than Siri.
  • Integration with other devices is better in Apple iOS as compared to Google Android. 
  • Android OS supports social network sync where as Apple iOS is not.
  • iOS supports Internet Ttethering vis Bluetooth where as Android supports with Hotspot vis WiFi.
