WhatsApp New Feature Helps Transfer Chat Data Between iOS and Android

 

WhatsApp has launched a tremendous feature during the Samsung Galaxy unpacked event. This feature allows users to transfer chat data between iOS and Android. This feature has been made available for both iOS and Android users and will soon work in both directions. You will not have to rely on third party apps for chat transfer.

" WhatsApp will be introducing the ability to move entire WhatsApp chat history including voice notes, Photos and conversations seamlessly and security if you choose switch mobile operating systems. The company said in its announcement the feature means that users will be able to switch between the platforms of their choice and take their WhatsApp history with them".

The company further states " It will start to roll out on Android initially and on Samsung newest Galaxy phones to start". 

Transferring chats will be possible when both iOS and Android devices are physically connected via USB-C lightening cable. You won't be able to transfer across platforms over the internet.
